I also love the water. I enjoy a weekly swim at the Y before or after qi gong. The qi gong teacher plays Native American flute music while her calm voice leads us in the exercises. I’m glad you found that way to calm your body. We all need that and the connections we have with others like you have found in your recovery group. My brother and I always end our phone calls with. “Love you”.
Glad you shared with us this update even when you hesitated to. I love hearing how cold showers bring you comfort and calm and feel like plunging in the lake ahead of everyone else. I felt joy and tenderness listening to your post this week. You are such a blessing, Hal!
Love the drill Sargent - ode to the cold shower. You do clean up nice, inside and out, I guess. It’s heartening to hear that the shower helps, even for a short moment.
I can relate as a fellow Pisces 😊. Water is my soothing and happy place too! Swam at Brady Lake today and remembered when you’d come with me and kayak while I swam. Thinking if you and sending love.
Hey Hal. Thank you for sharing this. I really liked the music at the start, I’m not familiar enough to tell the RAV from the hand-pan, I just know I like the sound of those instruments. I hope the coming week brings you more peace and some relief from your symptoms.
"How could I feel so sick when I look so damn good? People are always telling me that I look good" As a fellow mecfs person I can't tell you how many times people have said that to me!
A fellow Pisces here! In times of emotional turbulance, I wander, and always, somehow, find my way to water. A river, pond, fountain, whatever. This was so beautiful to read, Hal and I'm so pleased you found the space to write this week, because we're so lucky to have your words.
Indeed I also find water very healing! Of course I am a water sign too. So glad you found a way to feel better Hal, and thank you for reminding us to be grateful. I'm sending you love and warm hugs.

Thank you for sharing this. Our atonement with water is so real. x

Calm to me is surrender, surrender is calm. You are a super inspiration.
Love you Hal
Thanks for your stories. Glad you got some calming, that’s sort of close to healing. I wish I could give you the healing you give all of us.

Thanks for keeping us updated. You are a miracle, even when you don't feel like it!
I'm going to work on that tentativeness - whichever Hal is on the line, I'm happy to answer ... I love you ...
You write so clearly

Thanks for another well written piece, Hal.
For some reason, this was exactly what I needed this morning. Thank you for the gift of your voice, Hal
Handpan sounds so good. Your writing moves mountains in me ❤️.
