Your father was amazing. I'm so glad you brought me to see him the last time I visited Kent. The inspiration you offer the world is vast. Last week a friend at work was relaying how her guitar virtuoso tenured phd husband can't find an open position at a university and is trying to build a social media following . i mentioned i have a friend who is a pied piper in ohio who did very well on tiktok because of an obscure instrument and now suffers from an illness. at that moment another co-worker said "You know. Hal Walker?!? I love him I follow him. How is he doing??" I hadn't said your name and he knew you. The conversation turned to CF and you and how amazing and unpredictable life is. He was so impressed that you urge people interested in the world instruments to go to the source & support locally. You touch so many, and I was touched that he cared to ask about you. It's full circle, Hal. You're a church w/o borders.

Thank you Betsy. I’ve heard a few of these stories of random people knowing me from TikTok. It’s fun. A few weeks ago, I was recognized at Giant Eagle. :) I appreciate your kind words. H

Hi Hal,

I don’t comment every time, but I follow all your posts. You understand yourself very well and are unsparingly honest. This illness may kill you in the end but it hasn’t killed your spirit. If you ever come out on the other side, you will be a changed man. But in the meantime, all you have is the here and now.

I think I love your Dad posts most of all. I love how we each have our own unique memories of him, but he was so who he was that when you share a memory, I feel like I get a new “bonus“ memory of him.

Maybe you could write one about dad… or the 3 sisters could give their perspective. :)

Hi Hal,

Your stories are just right. It has been nice of you to share yourself with the world. I have always appreciated your music ministry and have enjoyed being a part of it in the choir. And I have always appreciated your and your Dad's wonderful voices!!
