Another thoughtful list that was enjoyable to read! These letters look more difficult but here goes…

J - Jexo for all the reasons and seasons

K - kids which are all my descendants which is the greatest love I’ve known

L - Laura, the only other person who understands to the core my early years and Long weekends to recharge and enjoy

M - Michelle, Maj, and Mark for all they taught/teach me and all of the loving support

N - Noah and Noah, who both brought peace and comfort as their name promises

O - October leaves in all their autumn beauty

P - poetry, which serves as art, outlet, and enjoyable reading

Q - questioning because I’m relieved to still question where society is headed and where I can be of benefit and etc. because then I know I’m grounded and balanced in this weird, chaotic, absorbed world 😊

Love these Sat installments, Hal! Happy Saturday!

Beautiful recounts once again! Thank you for sharing, and hearing Mango’s prayer and your teacher’s gratitude was heart warming and a lovely treat.

I haven’t forgotten my list!

I made a Google doc today and started adding to it. Looking for photos to go with as many as possible. I’m enjoying this deep dive!

Thank you for showing up every week!

I'm so delighted that you called Mr. Pollack! I never had him for English, and I don't recall ever learning how to write a paragraph - must have learned through osmosis - but my English teachers were each quite influential in their own way. Only one is still with us - it occurs to me that I should let him know that I am now an English teacher!!

I had a most memorable English teacher, too. Mr. Felhaber, who responded to me showing up half an hour late for his 1st period class one day by giving me the option of going to the office and getting a Tardy slip, or memorizing a soliloquy from Hamlet by the end of the week. I don't have to tell you which one I chose, for the lesson of a lifetime. "To be, or not to be, that is the question"! Just the first ten words give me a thrill today.

I guess I should have made Prince Hamlet my "P."

J - I have two J sisters to cherish also: Joanne and Jude

K - Kent, Ohio, for your presence in it

L - Larch, our deciduous conifer with red cones, and leaves that turn gold this time of year, with one of the most wonderful leaf scents I've put my nose into.

M - Moscow, Idaho, the second of two long-term homes in my life to date

N - for the Network of UU Musicians that brought our paths together to cross IRL a couple times, and now virtually

O - for one of my favorite choral vowels, which needs a meta-word for a letter that looks like what it stands for, and lives in the lilting chorus of that Christmas "Gloria"

P - for a cat companion we named Mr. Personality, Mr. P for short.

Q - for questions, and the joy of seeking answers.
